Fun and Exciting FREE New Homeschool P.E. Resources for Kids

My boys have been bouncing off the walls a bit this week! We got some colder weather mixed with a lot of rain, so that has kept us inside more than usual. We try to get out as often as possible, but the rain makes it more difficult to enjoy time outside. So what’s a homeschool mom to do?

Well, I have been homeschooling for 14 years, and I have never done anything specific for Homeschool P.E. until I began homeschooling two active boys! If you have boys, you know exactly what I mean. Seriously, they do so much better each day if we expend a little energy however we can.ย

But, as I mentioned, the weather can make it challenging to get outside some days. Luckily, I was recently introduced to The Good and The Beautiful’s Exercise Adventures for Kids. It is the perfect solution for those days when you can’t get outdoors, and your kids could use the indoor exercise. My kids have loved these videos so much that I wanted to share them with all of you too!

The Good and The Beautiful Curriculum

We have never officially used a P.E. curriculum, but now that we have tried Exercise Adventures for Kids, I wish I had known about them sooner. Exercise Adventures for Kids is a fantastic program with many health benefits for your kids and your homeschool. Plus, my kids have used The Good and The Beautiful curriculum in our homeschool before, and I think the curriculum is well done. So, we had to give their homeschool p.e. a try!

3 Reasons You Should Add Homeschool P.E. To Your Day

Get the Wiggles Out

By adding homeschool physical education to your homeschool day, you can ensure your kids get adequate time to get the wiggles out! After breakfast, we decided to add our Exercise Adventures for Kids to get our bodies warmed up and ready to start the day. It’s a great way to get the boys going and prepared to settle down for our homeschool lessons. Although, we also used the videos some afternoons to wrap up our homeschool day. The videos are so flexible and easily accessible you can add them any time of day!

Better Sleep Habits

Better sleep quality is a win-win for kids and parents. Indeed, students who practice physical education regularly receive health benefits that parents will love. And better sleep quality can often lead to better-behaved kids. Our homeschool day will reflect that when my kids aren’t sleeping well. Tears, frustration, and poor attitudes show up when my boys have had a poor sleep or a lack of sleep. So well rested kids (and mom) help the homeschool day flow better; you can join in the stretching and homeschool p.e. too, mom!

Modeling a Healthy Lifestyle

A body in motion is a healthy body. By modeling good healthy habits at an early age, we can help our children adopt a healthy lifestyle. I join in the stretching and body warm-ups too each day when I can. My kids have so much fun with the Exercise Adventures for Kids videos that they want me to participate alongside them. Of course, you don’t have to, but joining in may help your kids see that mom also values healthy habits.ย

Benefits of Using Exercise Adventures for Kids

  • Adding Exercise Adventures for Kids to your day couldn’t be easier! Just head over to The Good and The Beautiful Kids YouTube channel and subscribe. From there, you can find The Exercise Adventures for Kids playlist, where you can pick and choose which videos to exercise along with.ย
  • Exercise Adventures for Kids is interactive! Your kids will get to feel like they are right there with the host as they ask them engaging questions and speak to your kids as if there were in a live class.ย
  • Each Exercise Adventures for Kids video incorporates a theme. Think penguins, safari, and snowstorms! We loved the themes because we could also pair the video with what we read in our homeschool that day. For example, the day we finished reading Mr. Popper’s Penguins, we enjoyed the Journey to the Penguins Adventure video. Perfect timing, and the kids had a blast.
  • Bailey Tucker, a teenage girl, hosts the Exercise Adventures for Kids videos. I think this is great, a younger hostess makes the videos fun, and younger kids are excited to participate with her.ย
  • The Exercise Adventures for Kids are quick videos that you can use anytime. With quick sessions under 10 minutes, you can easily blend these into your homeschool day without sacrificing time from other areas.ย
